Christmas Trees in Claremont: Chamberlain Choose and Cut Tree Farm

Updated: Mar 9, 2023

Make this the year of choosing your own Christmas tree and cutting it down yourself. What an adventure to go down in the books! Luckily you can have this authentic experience at Chamberlain Choose and Cut Tree Farm, a family owned Christmas Tree Farm in Claremont since 1991 located at 3436 Padua Ave, Claremont, CA 91711.

Their trees range from $100–$200 (sales tax included and cash or check only) and specialize in three types: Monterrey Pine, Monterrey Cyprus, and Leyland Cyprus (ranging from 7 ft. to 11 ft.)

My favorite part about coming to this farm is knowing that the owners, the Chamberlain family, tend to these trees year round to ensure the best quality. The experience you'll have to choose and cut your own tree will create lasting memories as Eric says, “Come on in and choose a tree and have fun while you're doing it."

It’s such a unique experience considering this is the last standing Christmas tree farm in LA County. So, put the artificial tree away this year, resist the urge to go to Lowe’s, and pick out your Christmas tree in Claremont at Chamberlain Choose and Cut Tree Farm.

What Can I Expect When I Arrive?

The process in picking out a tree is simple. Stop by the farm during open business hours- Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm starting November 26, 2022. Enter the farm through the river rock pillars and walk around to see which tree best fits your needs. Trees for sale have a price tag. Trees without a tag are still in the process of growing for future holidays!

Once you’ve said “Yes, to the tree,” you will pay first (check or cash) then have two options (A) cut it down yourself with a saw or (B) have one of the tree farm helpers cut it down for you.

Side Note: You are not able to reserve a tree. It's first come, first serve.

Optional items available for purchase are tree nets, tree stands, tree covers, disposable tree bags, and tree food.

They’ll provide you with care instructions for your tree and off you go!

It’s quite a memorable experience–especially for the kiddos. Be sure to have your cameras ready when they cut that sucker down because it's definitely an Instagram-able moment.
