Looking for the best lunch in Claremont? Lucky for you, Tutti Mangia Italian Chophouse has recently announced they’re now open for lunch from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm Tuesday⎼Friday with daily and monthly specials including a dish of the month. Tutti’s, as their regulars call it, is my husband and I’s favorite date spot and when I heard they were open for lunch I was ecstatic. Fine dining for lunch? Sign me up!
Tutti’s is an authentic Italian, gourmet restaurant and has been around since 1996 making it a Claremont institution. Located at 102 Harvard Avenue, in the heart of Claremont Village, it’s consistently been in my top list of best restaurants in Claremont for their world-class customer service, picture worthy ambiance, fine dining atmosphere, and high caliber menu with quality ingredients.
There are a variety of seating options available. Outdoor seating offers a full view of the historic (and architecturally stunning) 1927 Sante Fe Depot which is home to the Claremont Lewis Museum of Art. You can sit indoors in the main dining room or in the recently renovated bar area.
The impressive atmosphere, above and beyond customer service, and insanely delicious Italian food makes this lunch spot in Claremont ideal for a business/client meeting, lunch with colleagues, lunch date, celebrating a special occasion, or no occasion at all!
I had the great honor of being invited by the owners to visit and get the full lunch experience. Small plates, paninis, and salads are where their focus lies during lunch and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!

Lunch Item Recommendations
BEVERAGES
Mocktails. Personally, I do not prefer to ‘day drink.’ So, mocktails are perfect for me during lunch! Their Cucumber-Basil and Lychee mocktails are the ultimate refreshers with an Instagram worthy presentation.
Cocktails and Beer. Local craft beers include Claremont Craft Ales (of course), Old Stump, Stout House, and more. Their craft cocktail menu rotates with the season like the Holiday Mule and Autumn Apple. Other cocktails to consider are the Basil-Lemon Drop Martini, Tutti New York Sour, and Perfect Peartini.
Wine. You want to talk about the best wine list in Claremont? Tutti Mangia is one of the top choices. With their in-house Sommelier, Kathy, you’re guaranteed to perfectly pair your wine with any meal. My personal favorites for lunch are a Super Tuscan, Montepulciano, Riesling, and a white blend.
APPETIZERS
Artichoke Fritti. Crispy on the outside and a burst of creamy flavor on the inside. This appetizer comes with two cakes filled with artichokes, roasted peppers, and mozzarella cheese and sits on a Calabrian pepper aioli with mixed greens, balsamic, and olive oil.
Insalata di Pera. For salad lovers, put this at the top of your list. Slivers of fresh Bosc pear line this large salad full of mixed greens, candied walnuts, gorgonzola, red onions, pomegranates, and white balsamic Dijon vinaigrette. Yes, it’s as delectable as it looks.
Grilled Calamari. This is the perfect, shareable starter dish as it comes with four well portioned chargrilled (whole) calamari. They are very tender and doused in a lemon caper sauce with sweet cherry tomatoes and tentacles on the side. It comes with two pieces of grilled Ciabatta bread making it a perfect balance of taste and texture.
ENTRÉES
Tacchino Panino. This house roasted turkey breast panini is a taste explosion with the right amount of sweet to savory ratio. It’s filled with crispy prosciutto, provolone, sprouts, cranberries, and arugula with basil-pine nut pesto aioli on grilled focaccia bread, served with your choice of parmesan fries, housemade chips, or side salad.
Truffle Lobster Roll. You want a showstopper dish? Get the Truffle Lobster Roll. This decadent, creamy roll is only served on Tuesdays and includes Maine lobster, chopped celery, truffle aioli, and chives on a crisp butter roll with housemade chips on the side.
Pesce Fritto. In other words, fish and chips. Like, really good, crispy, succulent fish and chips. The beer-battered cod is flakey on the outside and moist on the inside. Seasoned to perfection, it’s accompanied by a side of Calabrian pepper aioli, thick-cut and well-seasoned potato wedges, and fresh napa slaw.
Borsellini. A pasta dish at Tutti Mangia? That’s a no brainer. The Borsellini pasta dish is filled with roasted butternut squash, smothered in an orange fennel-madeira cream sauce, and topped with pancetta, crispy yams, and fried sage. The best way I’d describe this dish is, “party in your mouth!”
