I had the pleasure of dining at Mozwell in Claremont and chatted with owners Edwin Guembes and Ryan Storath who clearly poured their heart and soul into the overall concept. Here’s what you can look forward to the next time you visit.

Ambiance with a Modern Charm
Situated on the first floor in the Claremont Packing House between The Claremont Forum and Smell House, Mozwell gives a warm, trendy vibe that pays homage to the building's rich history. "Our vision is to create a space where friends and family gather to share joy through meals, drinks and conversations," said Guembes.
Open concept, exposed beams, floating ceiling, modern industrial accents, and original wood flooring gives Mozwell a timeless charm that appeals to patrons of all ages. I particularly like the concrete style bar top with the warm glow of ambient lighting throughout.
The open layout makes it conducive to socializing whether it’s at the lively bar top, trivia night, live music night or with your own dinner guests. If you’re keen on outdoor seating, you’ll love the patio and how cozy and modern it feels.
"What started as a mere concept has now materialized into a representation of what it means to be a part of the Mozwell family—a close-knit community defined by creativity, dedication, friendship, and a love for good times," said Guembes.

For appetizers, try their chicken tinga empanadas or get the vegan option. I recommend their baja-style ceviche, elote bowl and nachos.
For an entrée, try their Cornell Street Dog. It’s equally as flavorful as it is picture worthy! Other entrees are the Birria-topped Wagyu burger, blackened shrimp tacos, chicken torta, and Santa Fe salad.

No visit to Mozwell is complete without indulging in their meticulously crafted cocktails. As a seasoned cocktail enthusiast myself, Mozwell knocks it out of the park in fresh ingredients, premium spirits, whimsical garnishes, reasonable prices, knowledgeable mixologists, and cocktail variety.
When creating a cocktail program for Claremont, a place I call home, I aimed to blend the vibrant spirit of our community with the diverse flavors of these agave spirits. This cocktail experience mirrors Claremont's bold individuality and connections, offering a spirited encounter that resonates with our community's passion and zest. My top recommendation is the Espresso Martini featuring cold brew from Iron & Kin with a flaming marshmallow on top. Try the Ma Cha-Cha, Just to Get By, Mozwell Spicy Margarita, Pineapple Daiquiri, Mozwell Old Fashioned, and Mercada Roma.

Located on the first floor, you can conveniently grab dinner and drinks at Mozwell then stroll through retail shops, novelty stores, and kiosks while admiring the building’s rustic charm and rich history.
Visit the Smell House (a candle emporium), play arcade games at Lost Levels, grab premium coffee at Iron & Kin, and browse the kiosks like Gonzo Garble, Respun Retro and Curious Publishing. I can easily spend the day at Claremont Packing House with the plethora of options for dining, drinking, entertainment, and shopping.
Mozwell takes the Claremont Packing House to a new dynamic by adding more excitement, panache, and culture.
